We are going through a serious jam making phase. I can't seem to get the right sweetness and strawberry flavor. Every recipe seems far too sweet for my taste. With the ridiculous amount of pbj's I made this past school year, I am quite certain that my efforts have not gone to waste. A couple of weeks ago the kids were lucky enough to have their granny visit. Having only one granny, and her being far away makes the precious moments with her even more special.....
The picking allowed for a spectacular way to spend a beautiful Sunday morning, celebrating the gifts of nature.
or as the kids thought...it was just plain fun to plop a juicy berry in your mouth.
And here we are again...how many months have passed? I wish I could claim some major wonderful event or reveal a stupendous project that has taken me away from this little place in cyberspace, but really it has been nothing more than everyday life. I have spent the past few months trying to be as present as possible in the hectic world of raising two children and the whirlwind that comes along with it. There is much to share...many small little moments of wonder, but let this just be one little peek to the goings on lately....a bit of a trip last week to a lovely little farm.
Ice sun catchers...the new obsession in the house...for mama anyway. So far, we have been stuck in the house for almost a week, with a quick trip to Walmart yesterday, which just can't count as fun. More snow is on the way. Being trapped in the house ha been nice. Electricity is a very wonderful thing, and having been without it for only a few hours at a time, I feel quite fortunate during the "Blizzard". Indeed we have had LOTS of family time. ost of which has been quite lovely, though I AM looking forward to a few hours of solitude once this is all over and done with!
